There are two kinds of applications available- Spousal Sponsorship Application inside (Inland Sponsorship) Canada and Sponsorship Application outside of Canada
- Inland sponsorship applies if the sponsor’s spouse or partner whom the sponsor wants to sponsor for permanent residence in Canada is residing in Canada. The spouse may be eligible to apply for an open work permit while the sponsorship application is being processed.
2. Outside Sponsorship applies if sponsoring:
- a spouse, partner who:
- lives outside Canada, or
- won’t stay in Canada while we’re processing your application

How long does it take for the application to process?
Timeline varies. But the processing time on average is between 7 to 15 months. The timeline varies for each visa office and how busy the visa office is as well as if there are issues that exist with the sponsorship application such as misrepresentation, criminality, medical, overstay or immigration officer believes that the relationship is not genuine.

CPC-Mississauga - Outland Spousal Sponsorship Application – Send application to the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia if sponsoring:
- a spouse, partner who:
- lives outside Canada, or
- won’t stay in Canada while we’re processing your application

- CAD $6200 including application fee (no inadmissibility issue such as medical, criminal, and etc)
We provide the following services:
- Access to two email/telephone calls per month
- 1-2 months of processing documents to send to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), after receiving all the required documents.
