Program delivery updates – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada ( IRCC ) – Study Permit Canada – COVID-19 – December 16, 202 1

Students – Eligibility: COVID-19 – Study permit Canada

School closures:

Some schools are closing, cancelling programs, or deferring the start date of their programs due to COVID-19.

The loss of designation continues to apply to schools that have been de-designated by the authorities. If de-designated, then the school will be removed from the list of Designating Learning Institute (DLI).

In addition, the Immigration officer will request a new letter of acceptance from the applicant for a study permit to confirm that the student intends to study at a DLI that is in operation.

Cancelled programs:

The officer will request a new letter of acceptance from the applicant if the program of study has been cancelled or the start date has been deferred.
